New Deshaun Watson accuser speaks out about experience with QB

Deshaun Watson already is facing 19 lawsuits for sexual misconduct, but a woman who is not presently suing him also has come forward with allegations of the Houston Texans’ quarterback acting inappropriately towards her.

A massage therapist identified as Mary detailed to Sports Illustrated reporter Jenny Vrentas her experience with Watson when she treated him for one two-and-a-half-hour session in the fall of 2019.

According to the report, Mary “makes clear that Watson did not touch her nor force her into any sexual acts,” but she described his behavior as “both inappropriate and unlike any other interaction” she’s experienced with more than 1,000 clients, including other professional athletes she’s treated over several years working as a licensed massage therapist.

The woman, who owns her own company in Houston, told SI she was sharing her story publicly “with the hope of preventing this from happening to any other professionals” in the industry.

“The one thing I keep thinking about is, he’s about to get traded to another place,” she said. “What if he goes to Atlanta or California or anywhere else? He would have a whole new community of massage therapists to target.

“More than anything, the fact that he’s denying all the allegations makes it more of a reason for us to use our voice and say what we have to say.”

Among several allegations, the woman said the 25-year-old Watson exposed his penis and told her she “could move it if [she] needed to,” and that he also “thrust his pelvis in the air” multiple times during the meeting.

Mary also said she believed there to be pre-ejaculatory fluid on Watson’s stomach during the massage.

“I just want a genuine apology, for us and our community, for putting us in these situations where we don’t know what to do,” the woman told SI. “There are so many people that are against us, saying, ‘Why would he do that? He has no reason to do that. He has a beautiful girlfriend; he has this, this, this and this.’ “All of those things are true, but fame doesn’t create character.”

Watson’s lawyer Rusty Hardin said last week he believes “any allegation that Deshaun forced a woman to commit a sexual act is completely false.” Watson’s legal team also has suggested that the allegations are ploys for publicity and financial payouts by the lawyer for the plaintiffs, Tony Buzbee.

Mary acknowledged speaking with Buzbee’s firm, but she is not among his clients, she told SI.

 “We are just not in any position to comment in any way right now on another anonymous story or complaint. I just think it’s unfair to ask us to,” Hardin told the magazine.

SI also spoke with a family member the woman had called immediately after Watson departed, writing that the stories were consistent.

Mary said Watson followed up with her a few weeks later for another appointment, but she told him she was not available. She also showed SI private messages she subsequently received from Watson on Instagram, as recently as the fall of last year, seeking additional appointments, which she also declined.
